چکیده

Abstract Shikonin and its derivatives are the main components of traditional Chinese medicine, Zicao. The pharmacological potential shikonin have been extensively studied. Yet, less is known about microbial assemblages associated with producing Borage plants. We studied profiles two species, Echium plantagineum (EP) Lithospermum erythrorhizon (LE), to identify dynamics colonization pattern within three rhizo-compatments distinct soil types. Results α β-diversity via PacBio sequencing revealed significantly higher richness diversity in natural along a decreasing gradient across rhizosphere endosphere. Our results displayed genotype type–dependent fine-tuning profiles. host plant was found exert effects on physical chemical properties soil, resulting reproducibly different micro-biota . Analysis differentially abundant OTUs Planctomycetes Bacteroidetes be specifically enriched EP LE while endosphere mostly prevailed by Cyanobacteria Network analysis unfold co-existing species types positive negative interactions communities. data provided here will help microbes rhizo-compartments In future, this might helpful for manipulating keystone ecosystem functioning.

Detection of the fumonisin-producing Fusarium fujikuroi species complex (FFSC) associated with wild grasses in Iran

In order to determine the fumonisin producingisolates of the Fusarium fujikuroi species complex (FFSC), associated with infected spikes, and ear rot of grass plants, we examined 78 samples collected from Kermanshah province, Iran. Based on morphological characters, twenty two isolates assigned to the FFSC and were identified as F. proliferatum (ten isolates), F. verticillioides (seven isolates)...

Variation in Soil Microbial Community Structure Associated with Different Legume Species Is Greater than that Associated with Different Grass Species

Plants are the essential factors shaping soil microbial community (SMC) structure. When most studies focus on the difference in the SMC structure associated different plant species, the variation in the SMC structure associated with phylogenetically close species is less investigated. Legume (Fabaceae) and grass (Poaceae) are functionally important plant groups; however, their influences on the...

Methane Seep Carbonates Host Distinct, Diverse, and Dynamic Microbial Assemblages

UNLABELLED Marine methane seeps are globally distributed geologic features in which reduced fluids, including methane, are advected upward from the subsurface. As a result of alkalinity generation during sulfate-coupled methane oxidation, authigenic carbonates form slabs, nodules, and extensive pavements. These carbonates shape the landscape within methane seeps, persist long after methane flux...

An Integrated Study to Analyze Soil Microbial Community Structure and Metabolic Potential in Two Forest Types

Soil microbial metabolic potential and ecosystem function have received little attention owing to difficulties in methodology. In this study, we selected natural mature forest and natural secondary forest and analyzed the soil microbial community and metabolic potential combing the high-throughput sequencing and GeoChip technologies. Phylogenetic analysis based on 16S rRNA sequencing showed tha...

Effect of Metal Oxide Nanoparticles on Microbial Community Structure and Function in Two Different Soil Types

Increased availability of nanoparticle-based products will, inevitably, expose the environment to these materials. Engineered nanoparticles (ENPs) may thus find their way into the soil environment via wastewater, dumpsters and other anthropogenic sources; metallic oxide nanoparticles comprise one group of ENPs that could potentially be hazardous for the environment. Because the soil bacterial c...
